The same version you accept inside the app — generated from the same file. In case of conflict between language versions, the German one prevails.

Terms of Use — Pouch (Closed Pre-Alpha)

This is a draft for a small private group of testers. It has not been legally reviewed yet.

Binding version: The German text (agb-de.md) is the legally binding one. This translation is provided for convenience; in case of contradictions, the German wording applies.

1. Purpose of the test phase

Pouch is an Android app that keeps a personal agent dossier locally on your device and makes selected functions usable through MCP connectors, a relay, friend permissions and local device features.

The test phase exists to test stability, usability, security, friend permissions, updates and diagnostics with a small group. It is closed: only people explicitly approved by the operator can take part.

2. Status of the test phase

This is a test version. Functions may be faulty, may change, may fail, or may present data differently than expected. Do not use Pouch as your only source for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or otherwise consequential decisions.

Make regular backups before you store, import or share important content in the app.

3. Account and device

Google sign-in serves to associate a device with a test user and to limit relay access. Each device has its own agent ID and device secret. The device secret must not be passed to external services, friends or connectors.

You are responsible for securing your device with a screen lock and for protecting your export files and credentials.

4. Local dossier and export

Facts, projects, skills, friends, settings and local state live in the device's private app storage. Exported .soulpack files may contain sensitive or confidential content. Only share or store such files in places you trust.

Recovery backups are encrypted but depend on the password you chose. If you lose that password, a backup cannot be restored — not even by the operator.

5. Relay, wake and connectors

The relay service forwards connection and permission operations between devices and clients. During this test it is not a substitute for your own backup, and it may be interrupted.

External MCP clients can trigger actions depending on connection and permissions. Actions that require confirmation must be approved locally on the device.

Important, about the data flow: Content you release to a connected AI chat is transmitted to that provider in clear text — the AI cannot work with it otherwise. The provider's own terms additionally apply to that content. Entries marked secret are never transmitted. Details are in the privacy notice.

6. Friend permissions

Sharing via the relay is only possible between mutually confirmed friends. You decide which facts, projects or skills you share. Secret facts are not meant for sharing.

Incoming content from friends can change your local dossier, but is only imported according to the rules built into the app. Check content from others before relying on it in important projects.

7. Sensors and device functions

Certain functions can use location, battery, light, motion or other local device information if you allow it. Depending on sensitivity, the app asks locally or uses a permission you granted earlier.

Since version 0.44 a connected chat can additionally ask whether you are available at a given time. That check runs on your device; only yes, no or unclear leaves it, never event content. It requires that you allowed calendar access and selected at least one calendar.

In a CrewPouch your permission is time-limited: when contributing you set how long presence counts as consent. After it expires your device no longer answers by itself.

You can change friend rights and sensor permissions later, or remove friends. A withdrawal applies to future requests; content already imported or copied elsewhere is not deleted automatically.

8. Updates

Beta updates may be distributed outside an app store. The app only checks update metadata if that function is enabled for the build. Installing an APK update remains an Android system decision and must be confirmed by you.

Only install beta APKs from the channel the operator specifies. Do not pass beta APKs on without checking back.

If these terms or the privacy notice change, the app asks for your consent again on the next start. Without consent you cannot continue to use Pouch.

9. Acceptable use

Use Pouch legally, fairly and within the agreed scope. Do not share content, rights, data or access you are not entitled to. Do not attempt to bypass, read out or disrupt other people's devices, relays, accounts or data.

10. Availability and liability

The test phase is provided without guaranteed availability and without warranty of correctness. As far as legally permitted, use is at your own risk. If problems occur, the diagnostic export is meant to help narrow down technical causes without exposing private dossier content.

11. Ending your participation

You can end your participation at any time. The simplest way is in the app itself: Settings -> Account -> “Delete my data” removes your data from the relay and resets the app. If you prefer to write, a message to pouch@agentmail.to is enough.
